Dhokra, ancient art from the times of Mohenjo-Daro, creates eco-friendly art pieces by casting recycled scraps of brass, nickel and zinc using the lost wax technique. Dhokra craft primarily comes from the regions of West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
Saura, tribal art from Odisha, uses figures called icons or ikons and recurring motifs and symbols, such as people, the sun and the moon, and the tree of life. Saura art is traditionally made on the red or brown clay walls of village homes using natural products.
