The mesmerizing art of Blue Pottery is from the pink city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Having Turko-Persian roots, this form of pottery gets its name from the striking blue-coloured dye used in the process of making. This art of pottery came to India through the ‘aalishaan’ Mughal courts from Persia, Turkey and Afghanistan. Illustrated with attractive designs these products use quartz, Multani mitti, sodium sulphate and raw glaze as raw materials. The common designs are of Mughal era patterns representing birds and animals. Daily use products like plates, vases, dishes, fruit bowls, coasters and many more are made through blue pottery. Blue Pottery will add a rich Persian touch to your daily homeware.
